George Cail Obituary

Vietnam Veteran, U.S. Navy Retiree, U.S. Civil Service Retiree AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. George Irvin Cail, formerly of 13th st., Augusta, GA. and Springwood Drive , Augusta, GA. 30909, entered into rest Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at University Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1949 to the late Robert "Chick Cail and Self Lee "Selma" Cail. A graduate of Lucy C. Laney Class of 1967, Mr. Cail later attended Augusta Technical School where he specialized in Drafting and Design. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1971 with an honorable discharge. He later retired from the V.A. Civil Service (Uptown division). Mr. Cail is survived by a devoted by a devoted mother, Selma S. Cail, Augusta, GA. A devoted sister and brother-in-law, Bettye Cail Bailey and Wade Bailey. A sister-in-law, Yvonne Cail. A devoted nephew, Pierre (Donna) Cail, Augusta, GA. Three devoted nieces, Tammy Cail McRae, Augusta, GA; Kiesha (Kyle) Williams, Villa Rica, GA; and Tiffany N. Bailey, Kensington, MD. Great nieces and nephews, Niki Cail; Misty McRae; Matthew McRae; Ryan Cail; Madison Williams; and Brianna Williams. Two Uncles, Ben (Arlisher) Cail, Augusta, GA. and Fred Cail, Millen , GA. Three aunts, Ruby (James) Jackson, Rocky Ford, GA; Ernestine Scott, Atlanta, GA; Della Cail, Miami FL. Two sister-like cousins, Melinda Cail Hicks, Anniston, AL. and Mary Cail Givens, Miami, FL and a host cousins, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NAMI Augusta, PO Box 3904, Augusta, GA 30914-3904 or The Friendship Community Center, 1720 Central Ave, Augusta, GA. 30904. Friends may call at 2316 Buckingham Ct., Augusta, GA. 30906 Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday January 2, 2007, at 12:15PM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Tim Donahue officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery. There will be a wake at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Gibson Chapel on Monday January 1, 2007 from 5 to 7pm.
