George Meisner Obituary

Retired U.S. Army AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, November 11, 2008, Mr. George Donald Meisner, 76, husband of Donna Meisner of Augusta. Mr. Meisner was a native of Tigard, Oregon but lived in the Augusta area for the past 4 Ú years. He was retired from the US Army (ASA) and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Meisner was a member of the American Legion, the DAV and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing and rock hunting. Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter: Judy Meisner of Atlanta; sons: Robert Meisner of Washington, DC, George Meisner, Jr. of Alpharetta, David Meisner of Kansas and Larry Meisner of Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and a brother. A Memorial service will be held at a later date and burial with Military Honors at Georgia National Cemetery.
