Mrs. Butler,
I am sorry for your loss. Mr Butler was a wonderful man, teacher, and mentor. He treated all the band members as his "children." He was always considered a father figure in my eyes. My parents attended many band trips. Class of 1986.

Mr. Butler was my band director at Langford Junior High in 1972-74. He was more than just a teacher he impacted all of us in a positive way. He would go the extra mile for us. I will always remember his smile and sweet spirit. My condolences go out to his family.

The world is a lesser place without Mr. Butler in it. He was our mentor and music teacher,but most of all he was our friend. He will be greatly missed.

To the Butler Family,I meet Mr. Butler when my daughter was in Butler High school band, and she loved him and always called him "Mr. Music". He also taught my niece and nephew, who has become musicians in Atlanta, Georgia.I just wanted to let his family know how blessed my family are by just knowing him. I was deeply sadden to here the passing of Mr. Butler.
Mr. Butler was a wonderful person, he touched so many lives in many special ways. He also cared that joyful smile.
Bethel has losted a good soldier, he will be missed around the church.

My prayers are with Butler family. May God keep you in His loving care. My fondest memories of "Mr. B" was when I was a student at Murphey Middle School and Butler High School. I will forever be grateful to Mr. Butler. He played a very insturmental part in me furthering my education beyond high school.He was my teacher and my mentor. Mrs. Butler and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember that he treated all of the band members like we were his children. For alot of us he was a 2nd father. He instilled in all of us a great love of music and family. He was my all time favorite teacher and will always be remembered fondly by those who knew him. To the Butler's family: Mr. Butler (Mr. B) was a man dedicated to faith, family and friends. Mr. Butler was instrumental in me returning to college, after retiring from the U.S. Army to pursue a career in education. Mr. Butler was a mentor to me while I performed duties as a realtor. Mr. Butler will truly be missed throughout this community.

In loving memory of a wonderful person and teacher who was like a father figure to me and the Band Members of Butler High School Class of 1980. We were apart of Mr. Butler's band class at Murphey Middle School from 1975-1977 then he came over to Butler High School with us in 1977. He took care of us like we were his own children.
