I was fortunate to have played in several bands with Harold. He was truly a talented musician who was far ahead of his time. He could pick up a red Gibson 335 and carry you away, as you watched in amazement with glazed over eyes and your jaw flat on the floor. At that ripe young age, I had never witnessed anybody master a guitar like Harold could. He was a very easy going soul and always wore a big smile. He’s probably jamming right now with the likes of Duane Allman and Hendrix, and you can bet they are swapping some unbelievable licks. God Bless you Brother, we will miss you!

It is so strange. I had been thinking about Harold and the old days when we used to play guitar together in a band called "Fat Sam." Just a few days later I got the news from Alton R. and my heart sank. Harold was the kindest, most easy-going guy I've ever known practically. In those days it was common knowledge that he was one of the best guitarists in town. I was and AM one of the local musicians who knew that to be a fact! Although I have not seen Harold in over 25 years I feel like it was just yesterday we were swapping guitar licks and he was burning it down. I will miss you Harold! You're hanging out with God now! Play Him those lightning fast
riffs of yours.
God Bless You!
