Dr. Henry G. Bryant Jr.

Retired Podiatrist Evans, GA - Dr. Henry G. Bryant, Jr., 71, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Evans with Rev. Steve Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church of Evans cemetery. Dr. Bryant was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Evans. He was a graduate of North Georgia College and Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Bryant was a member of the Georgia Podiatry Association for 35 years and past president, the National Podiatry Association, Georgia Cattleman Association, Columbia County Sheriffs Auxiliary, and one of the original founders of Westlake Country Club where he was a current member. He was also a past member of the Lions Club, Quadragentia Club, Ambucks Club, and the Augusta Shrine Club. Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Roselyn Glasgow Bryant; one daughter, Dr. Salita Susan Bryant of Manhattan, New York; two sons, Dr. Henry Greene Bryant III and wife Lisa of Martinez, Harlin Glasgow Bryant and wife Melissa of Augusta; one brother, John Tolliver Bryant of Evans; six grandchildren: William Glasgow Bryant, Alec Henry Bryant, Hampton Clay Bryant, Katherine Page Bryant, Jackson Glasgow Bryant, and William Thomas (Beau) Bryant. Dr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents the late Henry G. and Susie Meadows Bryant. Platts Funeral Home, 337 N.
