Ignacio Alicea-Lozada Obituary

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Went home to his Lord and Savior on March 15, 2013 in Thomson, Ga., Mr. Ignacio Alicea-Lozada, 85, husband of Mrs. Eugenia Alicea-Lozada. Born and raised in Aguas Buena, Puerto Rico January 31, 1928. He served over twenty years in the Army. He served in the Korean War as a combat radio operator. Having retired from the US Army, he went on to obtain his teaching degree from Augusta College and taught in Richmond County, where he retired and made Augusta his home for over 20 years. He is survived by three sons, Roberto Alicea, Alberto Alicea, and David Alicea; two daughters, Ramonita Dillman, Gladys Kida; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great- grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Rev. Danny McGill officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery 1 hour prior to service.
