Ingrid Summer

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ingrid Stollewerk Summer, 89, beloved wife of the late Oscar Summer, Jr., entered into rest on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 11, 2014 in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Mary-Kathleen Blanchard officiating. Mrs. Summer was born in Weimar, Germany but called Augusta home since 1950. She was a member of the YWCA board, the Daughters of the King, and an associate of the Order of St. Helena. Mrs. Summer enjoyed hiking, sailing at Clarks Hill, and walking her dogs. Mrs. Summer is survived by her daughter, Faye Dotson (Larry); her step-daughter, Julie S. Davis; her brother, Hartmut Stollewerk; her grandchildren, Abbey Murphree (Ryan), Zachary Carpenter, Whitney Lybrand, and Blake Lybrand; and by her step-grandchildren, Jeffrey Young, Laura Summer, and Paxson Summer. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Summer was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Lybrand.
