J. Robert Morris

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. J. Robert Morris, 63, husband of Angela M. Mitchell Morris, went to be with the Lord in the predawn hours on Friday, October 31, 2014 at his residence. His memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Rowland Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private. Mr. Morris was a graduate from the University of Georgia Class of 1973. After graduation, he was in textiles as a plant manager in North Carolina. Upon his return to Augusta, he was in sales until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, reader and loved hunting. Additional survivors include two daughters, Brandey Morris and her husband Jerry of Augusta, GA and Brook Balliet and her husband Mike of Clarks Hill, SC; one step-son, Branon Mitchell and his wife Shea of North Augusta, SC; his father, Carlton Morris of Evans, GA; one sister, Shannon Bledsoe and her husband Roger of West Point, GA; five grandchildren, Ganon, Aaron, Benjamin, Evan, and Elliott; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family would like to say thank you to Trinity Hospice and to Augusta Oncology.
