Jeffery Barksdale Obituary
Augusta, GA—Mr. Jeffery J. Barksdale, 17, entered into rest June 11, 2021 in Windermere, FL.
Funeral services will be held 12 pm Saturday, June 26, 2021 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. Mask and social distancing will be observed.
Mr. Barksdale attended school in Richmond County. He played football with the Augusta Riverhawks, winning multiple league championships. He was a member of the track team at Hephzibah Middle School. He was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Darryll and Sheryl Barksdale, Rosita Sanders and Brian K. Barksdale, Sr.; his sibling, Dawud, Darrah, and D'Andra Barksdale; Najueem (Shanika) Brown, Brian K. Barksdale, Jr., Christopher Walker, Sr., Kwame Frederick, Ebony Barksdale, Bruce K. Barksdale, Jr., and Alexis C. Barksdale; grandparents, Fred L. Barksdale, Joe L. and Shirley Robinson; a host of other relatives and friends Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Friday at the funeral home.
