Kenneth Farmer Obituary
Kenneth was born in North Augusta, SC. On January 20, 1940 to Henry Pierce and Marian Farmer.
Kenneth served in the Air Force and was a graduate of the University of Georgia. While attending Georgia, he married the love of his life, Birdie Mae Flemister.
In 1980 his love of art lead him to start his own company, Kenneth Farmer Advertising (now known as Farmer Signs). He soon became well respected in the real estate community. In 1986 Kenneth received a patent on the popular design of his real estate signs and now services more than 750 real estate companies nationwide.
Along with being a very successful business man, Kenneth was also better known as the President of "Department of Having a Good Time" Kenneth loved his family and everyone he came in to contact with. He was a great friend, loyal husband and compassionate father/grandfather. He was a legend and lit up the room with his funny stories and quick wit. Our loss is heaven's gain!
He is survived by his wife, Birdie, sister Sidney Knight Lisk (Raleigh, NC), son, Bryan (Rachel), daughter Kim Allen (Brett) and four grandchildren, Kyle, Nicole, Ashley & Dawson.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry Pierce and Marian Farmer, brother, Wayne Farmer (N. Augusta, SC).
Special thanks to Sandra and Karen, Birdie's caretakers and dear friends to Kenneth! We are forever grateful for your gift of love, patience and compassion.
Kenneth and Birdie are lifetime members of Northside United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 19th at 11 o'clock at Spring Hill. Interment will follow at 3 o'clock at Pineview Memorial Gardens, 450 W. Five Notch Road, North Augusta, SC, 29841.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doris Sheehan Breast Center http://www.piedmont.org/locations/doris-shaheen-breast-health-center or to a charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 19th from 10 until 11 o'clock at H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill, 1020 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309

Kenneth and I attended art school together at UGA - there was a lot of foolishness, study, work, more foolishness and a lifetime friendship forged. He was genuinely one of the most generous, happiest and kind people I have ever known. I am sure he is chuckling from a cloud. My heart is broken especially for the family and also for all the friends who will miss him .

I could not have had a better boss and family friend than Kenneth Farmer.
He was wonderful to work for and was a man that made a daily practice of showing acts of kindness, generosity and laughter.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of Kenneth. It has been a very long time and lost track. We were in school at North Augusta Elementary 1st and 2nd grade. This is a message for Sidney his twin. I have a copy of our 2nd grade photo on the steps of the old elementary brick building and would like to share it with you if you do not have one. I will allow my e mail if you would like one. May God be with each of you and comfort you in the death of Kenneth.
