Lela Capps Obituary

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Lela Wanda Capps, 75, of Chestnut Avenue, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest October 24, 2008, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Terry A. Roof officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Mrs. Capps was a native of Spring Lake, North Carolina, having made North Augusta her home for the past 41 years. She was the wife of the late Mr. Oscar C. Capps and retired from the University Hospital. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law; Randall Capps, Larry Capps, David and Jennifer Capps and Kenneth and Paula Capps all of North Augusta; a sister, Sarah Capps, Elizabethtown, NC; eight grandchildren, Angela Capps, Jason Capps, Lisa Capps, Larry Capps, Jr., Jensen Capps, Steven Capps, Casey Capps and Brandi Capps. Pallbearers will be Chris Barnes, Frankie Capps, Len Ferguson and Taylor Ferguson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 until 9. Memorials may be made to the University Hospital Women's Health Center, 1350 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30901. Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta in charge of arrangements (803-278-1181).
