Mamie Wright Obituary
Augusta, GA—Mrs. Mamie Frances Bowdre Wright entered into rest on Friday, June 25, 2021. Graveside service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Bowdre was a 1967 graduate of T. W. Josey High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from Albany State College and a Masters Degree from Augusta State University. After thirty years of service, she retired as a special education teacher with the Richmond County Board of Education. Survivors are her husband, Toney L. Wright, Sr.; sons, Toney (Tia) Wright, Jr. and Rodney (Toya) Wright; step son, Ashley Wright; sister, Joyce Bowdre; brother, Michael (Sandy) Bowdre; mother-in-law, Eva Mae Solomon; granddaughters, Taquesta (Nicholas) Andrews, Taylor Elayne Canty; and a host of other relatives. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. Please wear masks and practice social distancing.

Toney, Toney, Jr. & Rodney you have our deepest sympathy. Brandon and Rodney grew up as friends, we were neighbors for over 40 years, they went to school together. played sports together. The bottom line is the Wrights and the Thomases shared a ton of memories together. Thanks for the love and kindness you all showed us. Mamie will truly be missed.
