Mary Viola Atwell Teston

Homemaker THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Viola Atwell Teston, age 75, widow of Mr. Roy Teston entered into rest on Easter Sunday April 16, 2006 in the Medical College of Georgia. She was born in McDuffie County, March 30, 1931 to the late Reverend D.P. and Mary Lula White Atwell. Mrs. Teston, a Thomson native, attended Holy Cross Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Episcopal Church Women and the Altar Guild. Mary loved being a mother and a grandmother and was known throughout the community as Nanny. She was a loving homemaker. The funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brother, James Cecil Atwell, and her granddaughter, Angel Spence White. She is survived by her only child and son-in-law, Mary Ruth and Jimmy Spence; her granddaughter Kelly Evans and her husband Butch; her granddaughter, Brandy Shelton; and her great-grandchildren, Mary Lynn and David Evans, all of Thomson.
