Melisa Lowery-Sanker Obituary

Asst. Manager - Kirklands AUGUSTA, Ga. - Melisa "Lisa" Lowery-Sanker, age 26, of Augusta entered into rest on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at her residence. Lisa was currently working as the Assistant Manager at Kirkland's. Born in Lynchburg, Va., she had moved with her family at the age of 3 months to the Martinez, area. Lisa attended Elementary, Middle and High School within the Columbia County School System; lastly at Lakeside High School. She had also attended Augusta State University and the University of Maryland, majoring in Accounting. Her family will remember her intelligence, love of reading and her love for her pet Rottweiler 'Slim Jim'. She was a member of National Hills Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Dan Sanker, Hagerstown, Md.; her mother, Debbie Paulos, Grovetown, Ga.; her father and step mother, Al and Tirisia Lowery, Lynchburg, Va.; her stepfather, Alex Paulos, Augusta, Ga.; her maternal grandmother, Peggy Braswell , Augusta, Ga.; her maternal grandfather, S.D. Braswell, Jr. and his wife, Betty, Cadwell, Ga.; her paternal grandparents, John A. and Dot Lowery, Cadwell, Ga.; a half sister, Jennifer Paulos, Grovetown, Ga. and a step brother, Wesley Paulos, Rainbow Springs, Fla. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2004 from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Ga. with Reverend C.W. Edwards, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be, Charles Johnson, Jeff Smith, Wesley, Blake and Josh Paulos and Bruce Parker.
