Mozelle Cartledge Obituary

Mrs. Mozelle Oliphant Cartledge, of W. Five Notch Road, entered into rest November 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Arthur L. Kemp officiating. The remains will lie in state in the church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Old Storm Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Cartledge, a native of Saluda County was a graduate of Ridge Hill High School. She received an Associate Degree from Bettis Academy Junior College. She taught school at Oak Grove Elementary in Modoc, SC and Springrield School in Edgefield County, SC. She was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she served as mother of the church and a deaconess.

Survivors include eight sons, Claude (Maggie) Cartledge, David Leroy (Debra) Cartledge, Randy (Joyce) Cartledge, Marvin (Linda)Cartledge, Douglas (Demetria) Cartledge, Terry (Martha) Cartledge, Stevie (Shirley) Cartledge and Michael (Jennifer) Young; three daughters, Gladys Ann (Min. Larry) Williams, Deloris Cartledge Price and Valerie Cartledge Stone; three sisters, Flossie Ryans, Pearl Holston and Barbara Wilson;, 43 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends Friends may visit the residence of her daughter, Deloris C. Price, 216 Amy Circle, North Augusta, SC or after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
