Nancy Maines

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, October 13, 2013, Ms. Nancy Louise Rand Miller Maines, 67. Ms. Maines was an accomplished pianist and organist. She played at many churches including New Zion Hill, Hephzibah United Methodist Church and Wildwood Christian Church. Ms. Maines was also a studio pianist for James Brown. She owned and operated a home day care business in Hephzibah for 25 years. Ms. Maines was a piano teacher for many years. Family members include son: Daniel Robert Miller; daughters: Pamela M. Noikov and Melissa M. Burgess; four grandchildren; and brother: Dr. Thomas F. Rand (Elizabeth). A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 11:00A.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, MI at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers charitable contributions be made to the CSRA Humane Society at P.O. Box 14667, Augusta, GA 30919 or to another No-Kill animal shelter.
