Quinton Ellis Salter

WADLEY, Ga.- Mr. Quinton Ellis Salter, resident of Wadley, died Monday afternoon at University Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Salter was born in Tattnal County, but had lived in Wadley all his life. He was a member of the Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Salter was retired and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Funeral services for Mr. Salter will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Coleman Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Lumpkin and Sheriff Gary Hutchins officiating. interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Walt Lampp, David Pollette, Richard P. Hutchinson, Jr., Randy Holt,Jr., Adam Boatright, and Rusty Cannady. Survivors include; wife, Amy Salter of Wadley, daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Richard Hutchinson of Louisville, son and daughter-in-law; Shane and Anita Jones of Honolulu, Hawaii, brothers; Avery Salter of Waynesboro, Revis Salter, sister; Clara Nell Cannady of Wadley, granddaughters; Nan Salter Jackson and Heather Holt, grandsons; Richard P. Hutchinson, Randy Holt, Jr., Derek Jones, Tristan Jones and Bailey Jones, great-grandsons; Robert Jackson III, great-granddaughter; Jordan Jackson. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening between the hours of 7 until 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Wadley, Ga. Smith Funeral Home of Wadley in charge of arrangements.
