NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - A Celebration of Life Service for Rachel Grace Baker, 24, who entered into rest March 14, 2013, will be conducted this Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock from The Aiken Family Y, Cedar Creek West Campus. Pastor Wes Holbrook officiating. Interment will be private. Rachel was a native of Trenton, SC and was currently residing in North Augusta. She was an active member of Cedar Creek Church (West Campus), where she formerly led student worship services and participated in various programs and activities. She currently worked at The Aiken Family Y where she was an aquatics instructor and taught guitar. Rachel loved music, swimming, working at the Family Y and was a favorite local musician at various venues across the CSRA. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Melody and Micah Boylston, Trenton, SC; her father and step-mother, Andy and Rachel Baker, Augusta, GA; a brother, Austin Baker, Trenton, SC; two sisters, Jenny Boylston, Trenton, SC and Madeleine Baker, Augusta, GA; maternal grandparents, Bill and Peggie Whitlock, Trenton, SC; paternal grandparents, James and Barbara Baker, Martinez, GA; her girlfriend, Joy Zimmerman, North Augusta, SC; a large and loving extended family. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of The Family Y Staff. The family will receive friends on the pool deck at The Aiken Family Y following the service. In honor of Rachel and in celebration of her love of life and happiness, the family requests that those in attendance wear casual attire; tie dye is encouraged because it was Rachel's favorite.
