WAYNESBORO, Ga., Ray Williamson, Jr, 63, entered into rest Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at his residence. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Jerry Wilson officiating. Mr. Williamson, son of the late Ray and Ellaree Breaux Williamson, Sr, was born in Augusta. He was with the Richmond County Sheriff s Department for eighteen years before going into private investigation work with Gene Stalcup. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his son, Michael Wayne Williamson and his wife, Shannon, of Grovetown; his daughter, Stephanie Wyrick and her husband, Levi, of Waynesboro, his adopted daughter, Teresa Williamson Bearden, of Charleston, SC; the mother of his children, Sara Williamson, of Hephzibah; his grandchildren, Courtney Williamson, Madison Williamson, Peyton Williamson, Mallery Wyrick, and Wyatt Wyrick; his sister, Valerie Stoner, of Louisiana; and his nieces, Tina Hickman and Heather White.
