Ronald Bowens Obituary

U.S. Army Retired AUGUSTA, Ga. - Retired E-7 Ronald Perry Bowens Sr., 56, of Southwick Dr., died Friday, May 9, 2003, at the V.A. Medical Center, D.D. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 15, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Carpenterville Baptist Church with Rev. Herman Bing officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Memorial Garden. He was a native of Augusta; a 1966 graduate of C. V. Bing School, Allendale, S.C.; retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years as an E-7 and a member of Carpenterville Baptist Church. Survivors are a loving wife, Lucille Bowens, Augusta; two daughters, Zorina Bowens (Bernard), Antoinette Bowens (Jimmy), Augusta; two sons, Ronald Bowens Jr. (Cynthia) Augusta, Marion Rouse (Rachael), Chantilly, Va.; father, Perry James Bowens, New York; brother, Leroy Chancey (Marine), Garland, Texas; uncle, Samuel Chaney (Rosa L.), Spotsylvania, Va.; aunt, Carrie M. Chaney, New York; great-aunt, Amanda Burns, Bronx, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
