Ruby Jensen Obituary

'Liz' Hephzibah, Ga.- Ruby Elizabeth 'Liz' Jensen passed away at her home December 5, 2010. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Family and friends are requested to assemble at the graveside. Mrs. Jensen was retired from Civil Service and was preceded in death by her husband , Sidney Jensen and her sister Catherine Ellison. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Giddens and her husband Chester Giddens of Fayetteville, NC and Linda Barnes of Hephzibah, her brother William Rourk of Wilmington NC, her sisters Odis Jarman of Wilmington, NC, Mary Helen Deardoff of Virginia Beach ,VA and Betty Plant of Jacksonville, NC and five grandchildren, Lee Barnes, L.G. Barnes, Lance Barnes, Kenny Tatum and Karen Hopkins, nine great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Her daughters greatly appreciate the care and love given to our mother by her friend Nora Newsome , Healthfield Home Health and Alliance Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Healthfield Home Health 2826 Hillcreek Dr. Suite A, Augusta, Georgia 30909 or Alliance Hospice 3685 Old Petersburg Rd. Augusta, Georgia 30907. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors 2502 Richmond Hill Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
