Carol A. Ehrhart, 85, of Aurora, IL passed away at home on Monday, January 8, 2018.She was born on August 1, 1932 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Herter and Barbara (Hartman) Burgin. She retired from Lyon Medal Products. In retirement she started a small business helping the elderly and dog sitting which she loved so much. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and just socializing at the Senior Centers. She loved to volunteer as much as she could. In 2005 Carol started a Scholarship fund in honor of her late husband and late mother. The scholarship was designed to help students that were pursuing careers that would positively impact the environment and its inhabitants. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Edwin Ehrhart. She is survived by her Aunt Opal Hartman, several cousins, half-sisters Cathleen Adams and Emma Abel and her God-daughter Tara (Jose) Perez and her children who were like grandchildren, Jesenia and Jalissa Perez. She is also survived by her dear friend Marilyn Bennett and many other close friends. Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Interment will be private. A reception will follow at Riverview Diner, Montgomery, IL.
