Charles Laurx Obituary
Survivors include his wife Cynthia of Aurora; eight children, three step children, and their families, Phillip Laurx (Alice Childs); Joseph (Lisa) Laurx and Carly, Julia and Gabriel; Daniel (Mary) Laurx and Henry, Malcolm and Emma; Andrew (Kristy) Laurx and Nicholas and Emily; Patricia (Quentin) Rund and Isabelle (Drew Bishop), Anneliese (Luke) Hanselman, Faith and Sophia; Mary (Glenn) Reinhart and Michael (Emily and Oliver), Christopher and Claire; John (Megan) Laurx and Joanna, Jillian and Maggie; Michael (Tracey) Laurx and Benjamin, Samuel and Kathleen; Karen (Joe) Snider and Wil; Allison (Duncan) Gilley; Holly Klug; and many nieces and nephews and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emily (Lupsys) Laurx, his wife Joan and a grandson, Noah Rund.
He was an avid golfer, a merry traveler, an enduring troubadour and loved to play cards. He enjoyed the people in his life and could regularly be heard saying "I am the luckiest man alive" because of the people around him.
A specific celebration will be held at a future date to remember Charlie. More general celebrations will be ongoing whenever we gather to enjoy friends and family.

Wonderful memories, children playing and a welcome to the neighborhood. We had been living in Belguim and what a great neighborhood to party with. So happy to know all of you. We are still on the farm in Colorado.

John, Megan, Mike, Tracy and the rest of the Laurx and Klug family, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. It is always a sad day when we lose someone we love but your dad will always be in your hearts. Many memorable times at the Laurx household growing up. He will be missed by all. I hope you are all doing well through this. Hang in there.

I am so sad to learn about Charlies passing. He was a dear sweet man and I enjoyed talking to him when my parents lived at Alden. We had a common love of dentistry and Harners donuts. And he gave the best hugs! God Bless ya Charlie and Ill cheers you with a hairy donut when Harners reopens.

So deeply saddened to learn of Doctor Charlie's passing. He was the kindest, sweetest gentle giant of a man. I was never afraid when I went to the dentist because he had that beautiful, calming voice and always told me in would only hurt for a tiny bit, just a pinch. He never lied. May You rest in the arms of our Lord, Amen.

I'm so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He was so sweet to my mom while they both lived at Alden. He always made a point of being so friendly and polite to her. My mom passed away last October so I haven't been to Alden since then. I've thought about Charlie often. Please accept my sincere condolences. He was a wonderful man.
