Hi Cynthia,Bumpy, and Dakota.
Just wanted to let you know that we thought your father was an awesome man. He was quiet yet strong in his faith. We remember at the Christmas party we had for work how spiritual he was then. Everyone would ask him if he wanted to dance but he quietly said no thank you I'm fine right here. We love you and continue to pray for you alays. Love Karen and Bill Latimer. P.s Cynthia anytime you need a shoulder to lean on you can come into MY office and I'll be there.

Hi Cynthia and Children,
I trust that you are well. Romans 5:1-5
IS A WONDERFUL PASSAGE, VERSE 3, SAYS
"We glory in tribulations, knowing that
tribulations produces perseverance.
I thank God that I was able to be there
with you and to see that beautiful big
grin he had all of his life.
I pray that those gentle memories and
many special times will be reminders of
your life with your dear Dex.I pray that peace and comfort will be yours also. As a person in Christ I am sure
you rest in His loving arms and find that that you are never alone because
He is always near.
Loved Dexter, Love you.

Dear Cynthia,

My earlier post seemed to say all the things I wanted to say to you and your family with just the right amount of compassion and empathy. But I believe the Lord had something else He wanted you to hear so He allowed the original message to be lost. So let me start anew.

It is when you feel your loneliest that God is most present. It is when you think your situation is hopeless that God gives you an unbelievable measure of hope. And it is when you are beside yourself with overwhelming grief the God is right there beside you too.

Cynthia, I can only image how much you miss your sole mate Dexter. It must feel like an entire part of your world has disappeared. No one knows the depth of your sorrow even if you explain it a thousand time over. It just cant be put to words. But God knows. God understands like no other and He hears you when you cry. Psalms 147:3 says God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. You can rejoice in that! God WILL heal the sore places.

During your next quiet time with the Lord, read all of Psalms 147 and let Him minister to you through these verses. I know you will be blessed.

I emailed you a short poem by Clay Harrison that I think is simply beautiful. It spoke to my heart when mama died and I still find comfort in it when my heart aches for her. I hope you and Bumpy and Dakota enjoy it as much as I have. May the Lord keep you in His perfect peace.

Sincerely,
Your Friend from 7th grade Brenda

When I first met Dex, I was often graced with his kindness & gentleness~ though it was him who was in need of encouragement, I found him on the giving side. Still today his love lingers through Cent,Bumpy & Dakota!!! Thus I know, Dex lives on... his legacy continues... his spirit is eternal!!! God be with us, in rememberance of the "Miracle Man". RIP

Ms. Brocks I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Dexter. I only knew your family from registering Dexter at Mercy Hospital when he wasn't feeling well, and I won't forget him. He would always give a smile & ask how I was. I am sorry for your & your childrens loss.
