Dearest Betty, John and the Benakis family. I'm so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John. Speaking for my Bill and myself, we will always remember ALL the good times we had with you and John at the restaurant, the bowling alley, and at banquets. John made the "BEST" butt steaks and pepper steaks around!! We acknowledged each other by yelling "Hey Greek!". He was such a great guy and will be sadly missed. I'm certain my Bill will remember him. Bill is entering the latter stages of Alzheimer's, but I know he will be saddened by the news as I am. Peace and love to all of you.

Dear Betty, Johnny, and family,

I am sorry to learn of John's passing and offer my condolances to you all.

I was a bus-boy in the restaurant in 1968-70 and have many fond memories of your family and our times together.

John was my first boss, and I still can see him cooking in front of the grill in his white t-shirt.

May you all find peace in this time of sorrow.
