Marjorie M. Stevenson, age 87 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 20, 1927 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Alfred and Ruth (Hage) Ehrhardt. Marjorie was united in marriage on May 9, 1946 at Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL to Mr. Lyle Edwin Stevenson and they spent the next 67 happy years together until his passing on March 14, 2013. Mrs. Stevenson was employed for many years as the secretary of Cross Lutheran Church and School in Yorkville, IL and was an active member of the church. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Marjorie is survived by her children, Dr. Craig (Linda) Stevenson of Plano, IL, Cary (Denise) Stevenson of Big Rock, IL, Sandy (Dick) James of Kankakee, IL and Tod (Michelle) Stevenson of Downs, IL; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Douglas) Tulley, Juliet (Chad) Bohnstedt, Jill Stevenson, Dana (Kayla) James, Jolene (Brandon) Archer, Elayne James, and Jenna, Calley, Isaac and Caleb Stevenson; her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Max, Ross, Ethan, Sam, Cooper, Rowan, Kristina, Madison, Lily, Maximus, Mackenzie and T.J.; her brother, Eugene (Eilene) Ehrhardt of Sycamore, IL; her sisters, Doris Quast of Aurora, IL and Norma (Ron) Connelly of Geneva, IL; her brother-in-law, Robert (Doris) Stevenson of Yorkville, IL; her sister-in-law, Joyce Stevenson of Yorkville, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruth Ehrhardt; her husband, Lyle Stevenson, and her grandson, Richard James. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Route 47, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Erik Gauss officiating. Interment will follow in the Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge St., Yorkville, IL.
