Ruth Janko

Janko, Ruth Hindrelet Baki Age 98, a resident of Asbury Gardens in North Aurora, IL was born in Naperville, IL on October 4, 1913 and passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Provena Mercy Center, Aurora. Ruth is survived by her son, Lt. Col. Roger (the late Grace) Baki, USAF Ret. of Von Ormy, TX; her daughter, Marilyn (David, Sr.) Carrington of North Aurora, IL; her step-daughter, Mary Ann Moderson of Sandwich, IL; her grandchildren, David (Christine) Carrington, Jr., Cheryl Shimp, Sheila DeKing, Theodore Carrington, Elizabeth Manning, Ruth Baki, Roger (Nikole) Baki and Nichole Baki; her great-grandchildren, Chad Carrington, Anthony (Vera) Shimp, Stephanie Shimp, Peter (Alicia) DeKing, IV, Andrea DeKing, Carey DeKing, Krysta Manning, Emma Baki, Sebastian Baki and Morgan Baki and her great-great-grandson, Jeremy Jacob Shimp. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Martha (nee Landorf) Hindrelet; her husbands, Nicholas Baki and Frank Janko, Sr.; her step-son, Frank Janko, Jr. and his wife, Lynn; and her grandson, Troy Janko. Ruth retired from Kroehler Manufacturing Co. after 33 years of service as a secretary. In 1947 she became a charter member of the VFW #3873 Ladies Auxiliary, Naperville and was proud of her continued lifetime membership. She was also a member of the Friendly Center Club, Aurora, the Royal Neighbor Club, Naperville and the Woman's Club of Naperville. She will be deeply missed by her family that she loved so much. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Ruth's life, memorials to the Friendly Center Club of Aurora would be greatly appreciated. A Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Ruth Baki Janko will be held on Saturday, June 2, 9:00 AM at the Church of St Mary of the Assumption, 123 S. County Line Rd, Maple Park, IL 60151.
