Thomas Richards Obituary
Thomas was united in marriage on March 27, 1959 to Shirley Joyce Dimon and they spent the next 60 years happily together until her passing on November 17, 2019. Mr. Richards was a long-time member of Millington United Methodist Church in Millington, IL. Thomas farmed throughout his life in the Kendall County area. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge in Sheridan, IL. Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Robin (Bryant) McCoy of West Frankfort, IL, Kelly (Jeff) Hill of Monroe, WI, Thomas (Kari) Richards Jr. of Newark, IL, Tim (Dianna) Richards of Newark, IL, and Wendy (Tracy) Clausel of Ottawa, IL; his twelve grandchildren; as well as his sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Richards; as well as his parents, Archilles and Ramona Richards.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Millington-Newark Cemetery, Millington, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in Thomas' name to the Kendall County 4H Foundation INC, 7775 B IL Route 47, Yorkville, IL 60560 or the Newark Fire Department, Newark, IL.

Robin and family, I was sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I will always love your and your family for selling me my first home, your grandmother Ramonas on the river in North Auora. I loved that old place and lived there for over 23 years... It finally got to bee too much to take care of.... But the people who bought it have certainly made a beautiful home out of it....Again, my sincere condolences.
