Shirley Lowe Obituary

Shirley Lowe

Shirley Jean Lowe, 84, of Elk Park, NC, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025.

Born on March 2, 1941, in Banner Elk, NC, Shirley dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. A devoted nurse, she worked in various hospitals and later as a private duty nurse, always offering comfort, compassion, and a healing touch to those in her care.

Shirley's love for her family was deep and unwavering. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne Lowe; her daughter, Greta Jordan and son-in-law Roger; her daughter-in-law Dayna; five beloved grandchildren; and four cherished great-grandchildren. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and steadfast faith will live on through each of them.

She found joy in life's simple blessings-daily walks, time with family, and her close relationship with Jesus. A faithful listener of Pastor Charles Stanley, Shirley's faith was a guiding force in her life, offering her strength, peace, and purpose.

A Celebration of Life service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Elk Park Christian Church in Elk Park, NC. Family and friends were invited to gather in remembrance of a life so beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved.
