James WITTLAKE Obituary

Peacefully left this earth on April 9, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, at 74 years young. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 54 years, Sarah and children James and Autumn (Ken) Yount. He will be sorely missed by his four grandchildren Zoey, Phoebe, Ashton and Hazel. He is survived by one of three sisters, Rita Rime and also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Jamie was loved by all that knew him. He was a devoted husband, loyal friend, ornery brother, fun uncle, the best dad and doting grandpa. Born Dec. 11, 1947 in Glendale, Calif. to Lloyd and Eunice (Culp) Wittlake he was raised and lived in the Antelope Valley most of his life. He graduated from AV High School in 1966. In 2013 he moved to Northern California to be close to his children. Jamie worked in aerospace at both Lockheed and Rockwell in Palmdale. After retirement, he became a handyman, which was of no surprise to anyone. He could build, repair or create just about anything that one could dream up. He loved working in the garage on assorted projects. His 74 years were full of experience and adventure. He enjoyed rock and roll music and playing games. He loved road trips with Sarah where they attempted to visit every Indian casino on the west coast. While his presence in daily life will be missed, fond memories of Jamie will live on in the hearts of us all. At his request, there will be no services.

Sara, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have been so out of touch I just learned of his passing. I didn't see to much of the two of the past few years, but I thought of you both often. Please know I miss him already and you to. This really sucks. Rocco
