My memories of Helen Rodio go back to 1962 when I was a Cub Scout and she was my den mother. Even now I remember how much I looked forward to her den meetings for all the fun we had and things we learned.
Years later, in the 1980's and 90's, I was a Scout leader myself and Helen was still there as a great trainer and organizer for all of us in the Antelope Valley District of the Boy Scouts.
Her wisdom and experience were a great support to me an many other scout leaders. Clearly her love and enthusiasm for the boys and for the program had not diminished at all!
Outside of Scouting I also knew her as a faithful, active member of the Church who loved attending the temple and was always willing to provide service to those in need.
I think that there would be no way to calculate the number of lives she touched and the influence for spreading good that she was - and still is.
