Mary Wrinkle Obituary

Mary Dykman Wrinkle Mary Doris Wrinkle passed away on December 9, 2024, in Palmdale, CA at the age of 101. She was born to Emma and Emery Lortie on November 23, 1923, in Sanford, ME. After graduating from high school, Mary worked for the Navy in Portland, ME and New York City, traveled across the country near the end of WWII, and eventually settled in Los Angles, where she met and married her first husband, Jack Dykman. Mary and Jack, and his two children, Lisa and Mike, moved to the Antelope Valley. Together, they had a daughter, Sandy and Mary lovingly raised the three children. Later, she worked for the Road Department in Los Angeles County. Mary enjoyed four-wheeling with Jack, took up flying after Jack's death in 1988, and was an avid traveler. Throughout her life Mary's contagious smile and kind heart blessed her many friends and family as she quietly served the Lord, both at Palmdale Church of Nazarene and Valley View Church of the Nazarene. In 2002, Mary married her second husband, Don Wrinkle and continued to enjoy traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Don, daughter Sandy Rice, two granddaughters Cherie McGraham and Debbie Arnold, and many great, great-great, and great-great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Church of the Nazarene, 42338 30th St. West in Lancaster on Saturday February 1, at 11 a.m., followed by lunch.

Mary always greeted me at church with a smile and let me know she was so happy to see me. Her smile was contagious.
