Roy Harold NORDBLOM Jr.

1930 - 2018

Born Sept. 27, 1930 Los Angeles, Calif., departed Jan. 17, 2018 Lancaster, Calif., surrounded by loving family. Roy grew up in Venice, Calif. and served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, stationed in Texas where he met the love of his life, Norma, on a blind date on Valentine's Day. They married in 1954 and raised four children in Lancaster. Roy retired from a 40 year career in aerospace and was active in the Knights of Columbus. Roy will be remembered for his sense of humor and rich stories. He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Leona, brothers Don and Jack. Roy is survived by his wife Norma, children Anna, Linda, Roy and Michelle, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Cremation by Valley of Peace Mortuary, Lancaster. Vigil and rosary will be held at Lancaster First Assembly of God Church on Feb. 12 from 5-7 pm. Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church on Feb. 13 at 10 am, immediately followed by interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery and reception at Lancaster Knights of Columbus Hall. Military Honors to be rendered at the graveside service by the U.S. Air Force.
