Abe Miller

Abe Miller, 89, died October 9, 2003 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Abe was born May 29, 1914 in Ruff, Washington the youngest of 17 children. Throughout his career in Education, he was a teacher and principal. He retired as an Administrator with the Portland Oregon Public Schools in 1976 and moved to Sun City. Abe was a member of the Masons and Phi Delta Kappa. During his retirement, he loved traveling the world, gardening and fishing any stream. Abe is survived by his wife of 62 years, June; daughters Susan Rhodes and Gretchen Bevan; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grand-children. He will be missed as a wonderful, kind and loving husband and father, grandfather, great grandfather and, & friend. Memorial Contributions may be made to Sun Health Hospice 12740 N. Plaza del Rio Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85381. We are especially grateful to Rose, Naomi and Tessa for their devoted care during his illness. A private cremation has taken place.
