Adolfo Armenta Obituary
Phoenix - Adolfo (Steve) H. Armenta, (Fito) Phoenix - December 20, 1931-February 11, 2018. Our Dad passed away peacefully with family surrounding him.
He grew up in the Golden Gate Community of Phoenix and proudly served in the US Army. He retired from Maricopa County, after 34 years of loyal service.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria (Loli), his sister, Alice Ruiz, his children, Patricia, Linda (Mike), Marina (Mark), Debbie (Al), Steve (Ana) & Frank (Sherri), 10 Grandchildren, & 12 great Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the many people he touched. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Rivera and his granddaughter, Monica Lorraine Fischer. We invite you to celebrate his life with us on Monday, February 19th beginning at 11:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel, 5921 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85033. Memorial Service to begin at 12:00pm followed with a reception at the residence of the Chavez family at 18053 W. Purdue Ave., Waddell, AZ 85355.

My Tata.. I can't even wrap my my head with the thought that your not with us anymore. I miss you. In my mind you would just always be here with us, sitting in your recliner with your lottery tickets in your pocket watching tv. I love you and miss you. Tata I was Blessed to be your granddaughter... You have taught me so much & I have learned so much from you. I'm gonna miss eating a lot of food with you , you yelling at me sometimes and you period. Thank you for being a great father to my mom, and a great guy. You were such a humble generous sweet, and funny guy. Your with my sister "Kika" now so have the time of your life. Eat all the food you want, go fly to all the places you have always wanted to go, keep dancing in the sky and never look back. Don't worry about any of us down here, we will be okay, we will live on for you. I will forever miss you and love you. You will live within me forever. Until we see each other again... My Tata.

I had the honor to work most of the 34 years with Steve at MCDOT. I also had many chats with him at Safeway afrer retired. May God be with the family as you mourn the loss of this fine man.

Armenta, it was an honor crossing paths with you , you were a great person and a hard worker. and a Family man. You were not only my Father in Law but also a Father figure and I appreciate everything you did for me. I have a lot of good memories of you , especially hanging out in Laughlin. I still remember you had to eat every 4 hours and we hit up the Buffets . Armenta , life is a circle and we will meet again, God Bless You and say hi to your Grand Daughter Kika .
