Torrance, CA - October 17, 1919 - October 25, 2017
Akiko Kimura (98) passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017 in Torrance, CA . She was predeceased in death by John Kimura, her husband of 70 years.
Akiko is survived by daughter Joyce Kimura, son Ray (Karen) Kimura, and daughter Sharon (Willie) Wolleat; grandchildren Natalie (George)Thimsen, Jared (Cindy) Kimura, and Kelsey(Mario)Amalfitano; brothers Wattie (Helen) Tanita, Stome (Yoshie) Tanita and Toru (Betty) Tanita. Her survivors also include seven great-grandchildren and numerous members of her large extended family.
A memorial service will be held on February 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301.
Donations may be made to the Diabetic Association or a charity organization of your choice.
