I have thought a lot about Alex over the last few days....some tears...some smiles looking at pictures. Lake Powell, moving jobs, Flagstaff, etc. What a great young man that touched a lot of people in a short time. Alex was always very mature, respectful, and an all around stand out guy. Your loss is hard, especially for your family, but sometimes GREAT young people are taken early because I believe you are needed elsewhere. Alex had all the traits of making a career as a firefighter, but was needed for bigger and better things. We will always remember you buddy....rest well.

Alex was one of the strongest, most gifted, and toughest soccer players ever to wear a uniform in the West Valley. He was also one of the most cheerful and upbeat people on campus--he always had a smile and a laugh in store for teammates and coaches alike. He was a vital part of the magic formula for Millennium's perfect season and state championship and will forever be remembered as a great athlete and an even greater human being. I'm proud that I had the opportunity to know him and work with him.

Acosta Family,
Our deepest sorrow and wishes of comfort are with you. Alex was a fierce competitor AND a respectful young man. I remember on numerous occasions Alex saying hello to me, looking me in the eye, providing a firm handshake, and giving a sense of honor and gratitude...not a common thing among the youth of today. Alex leaves a hole too in the lives of his CISCO brethren.
Rest in peace fine young man.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Alex and only know his father Alex Sr but it’s obvious by the things said about Alex he is a reflection of his father Alex Sr and I’m sure the entire Acosta family as well.

The positive ripple effect from Alex’s life on his Family and Friends sounds like it will have an influential affect for a life time.

Our hearts and prayers are with your family,

God Bless.

I work here at MHS and fondly remember your son. My daughter, Katie, also graduated with him and is so saddened by his passing. Our prayers, especially mine as a mom, go out to your entire family. I'm especially concerned for Nicole as I remember her coming into the library often. Give her our love and please know that you are in our hearts through this most difficult time.
