86, Born in 1927 Alex fondly remembered living with his parents in the Bronx New York. He and his family moved to Phoenix at age 11. Alex later started a family and became a young entrepreneur by opening a scrap metal business in Mesa. During his career Alex owned many various businesses, a Salads and More restaurant, a nautical antiques store, The Brass Pelican, which provided many opportunities to travel the world in search of artifacts for the store and in 1995 Alex and his wife Sue opened Freeway Metals, a retail metals store and steel yard. Alex never missed a day of work and was always looking for ways to help his customer's and friends. Alex was preceded in death by his son, Bruce. He is survived by his wife Sue, daughter's Debbie Sorenson, Susan Polesetsky, stepson Steven Greene and grandson Dylan Polesetsky. In addition to his family members Alex will be missed by his longtime employees, customers, friends, vendors and all who had the pleasure of receiving his advice, wisdom and company. Services will be held on June 26th at 10 am at the Sinai Mortuary of Arizona located at 4538 N. Sixteenth Street. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the Jewish Community Center, 12701 N. Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. 85254
