Alma Cordova Obituary
Phoenix - Alma Pura Cordova, 70, of Phoenix, passed away on June 22, 2021 at home with family.
Alma was born on November 15, 1950 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Alma was the eldest daughter of 12 siblings. She came to the states when she was 12 years old. Alma graduated from Phoenix College and later earned a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University. Alma had a life long career as a Social Worker and an Advocate against domestic violence. She also enjoyed watching her beloved Phoenix Suns. Alma will be missed beyond measure.
Alma was preceded in death by her Father Andres, Mother Alma, life partner Joe Amavisca and Grandson Jeffrey Parsley II.
Alma is survived by her Children Lawrence Perez, Mathew Cordova, Diana Clavijo, Jennifer Beadles and son in law Jason Beadles. She is also survived by her 15 loving Grandchildren Anthony, Julia, Brianna, Veronica, Gilbert, Zackary, Zerina, Nathaniel, Aryanna, Isabella, Adrienne, Kailynn, Aries and Amelie. Alma also has 1 Great Granddaughter Amaya.
Cremation services provided by Ganleys Buckeye Funeral Home. Rosary and Mass will be held Thursday, July 1st, 12:30pm at St.Vincent DePaul Church 3140 N. 51st ave, Phoenix.

I never got a chance to thank you Aunty Alma for being there for me when I was a little girl. The way you would invite me to stay with you and the kids at your house, even on a school day!! Then bring me back home in the morning before school. Those are the kind of memories of you and your kindness towards me will last me for the rest of my life. My heart is forever broken, a piece of me is gone with you. I will cherish each morning we watched the news and had coffee. I will miss you calling my name from the other room.
