You were only 19
When your life was taken away.
It just felt like nightmare
That I was hoping would go away.

When they told me the next day.
I knew that night
God had taken you to heaven
With the angels to pray.

Since then I've been through a lot
But god has seen me through it all.
You will always be in my heart and thoughts
Where you belong.

And I know you will be up there watching us all
You know, I can still remember you here
With your smiles, your laughter and love

I remember every time you called me
Every time we got in trouble in school
Every time we hung out
Without you here it’s never going to be the same.

Until I see you again
When you open the gates for me
I will be down here thinking of you
And the way things used to be.

Nobody will ever forget the mother you are
Nor will they forget the wonderful person you are!
We will miss you every second of the day
But lucky for us, you shared your life with all of us!

R.I.P. AMANDA MCELROY
YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED
WE LOVE YOU!

The first time I spoke to Amanda she was still in her mothers womb, and I held her the day she was born. The last time I saw her we all went Christmas shopping together. She lived her life in a whirl wind, and heaven help anyone who got in her way. She was the daughter that I never had, and even though I wanted to strangle her at times, I always loved her. She will always be my little hellian. To my best friend Tina, I want you to know that I will always be here for you and I love you more than life itself. Willie, you have grown into such a great young man and I am so proud of you. I love you. I know that Chase is going to be OK having both of you to watch out for him.

Love,
Aunt Cheri'

IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY
AND MEMORIES WERE A LANE
WE WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN
AND BRING YOU BACK AGAIN.

NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN
NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
YOU WERE GONE BEFORE WE KNEW IT
AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY.

OUR HEART STILL ACHES IN SADNESS
AND SECRET TEARS STILL FLOW
WHAT IT MEANT TO LOSE YOU
NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW

BUT NOW WE KNOW YOU WANT US
TO MOURN FOR YOU NO MORE
TO REMEMBER ALL THE HAPPY TIMES
LIFE STILL HAS MUCH IN STORE.

SINCE YOU'LL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
WE PLEDGE TO YOU TODAY
A HALLOWED PLACE WITHIN OUR HEARTS
IS WHERE YOU'LL ALWAYS STAY.

I just wanna say I'll miss u so much amanda and I'll think about all the good times we had together especially at the river :)...u will always be in my heart, thoughts, and prayers....u will never ever be forgotten I love u and will see u someday and we will be reunited...R.I.P amanda :)

Richie, Chase, and Family~
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Amanda was an amazing woman and I am thankful for the frindship we shared. I am attaching a poem with the hopes that it will help pick up up when you are feeling down....

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Amanda I love you so much, I cant believe you are gone. I remember when we were in junior high and we would have sleep overs and wear eachothers clothes. Man do I miss those days and I hate knowing I will never see you again. Girl I miss you and wished we would have been as close as we were when we were younger. I love you honey, may you and little Payton rest in peace. My prays and thoughts go to Case and the rest of your family.
