Andrew Grandinetti Obituary

Andrew Thomas Grandinetti, 66, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2004. Andy was born in Lindhurst, New Jersey on November 13, 1937. He moved to Phoenix with his parents Angelo and Marie, and sister Julia in 1947. Andy served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1956-1957. He married Joan Thornton in December of 1958 and the two shared a loving marriage until Andy's death. In 1965 Andy started Andy's Tile Company, a successful tile contracting business. Andy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to numerous people throughout Arizona. He was an accomplished jazz drummer and an avid golfer who loved playing with his buddies at Tempe Ken McDonald Gold Course. Andy is survived by his wife Joan, daughter Vicki, son Michael, son-in-law Dennis, daughter-in-law Robin, and three grandchildren; Tyler, Drew, and Allison. Services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at 11 am, at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale.

Joan,

We were deeply sadened at the news of Andy's death. Dora called to let Troy & I know. Andy was a great person and he will be missed greatly. I'm very sorry that I cannot attend the services, but Troy & Dora will be there to support you and your family. Our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. We will keep you in our hearts and prayers.
