Loretta and Chris,

After waiting for such a long time for the oil to heat up for that deep fried turkey last christmas, we probably should have stayed to try some, but we had a flight to catch that week.

Wish we could have been there with you for the service. We will miss Uncle Tel. There was no one like him. Such a great smile and wonderful laugh. Just remember Loretta, you will always have us to go to the casino with.

Pop -

What can I say Dad? You were always there for me..especially those times when I didn't think I needed you. I am so proud to be your son and a Pua'a. 32 years isn't long enough to have had you in my life. You were supposed to watch Carla and I have kids and raise them. You would would have spoiled them so. There was a good turn out for you services and wake...you would have loved the singing by the family. I don't think there was a dry eye in the house. I'm trying to be strong for Mom, but it's not easy right now. Everyone flew back to Hawai'i yesterday so the house is really quiet. You can imagine, Aunti Julia was there. Niko came in early and was a big support system for me. I wouldn't have been able to get through all the planning without he and Carla. I miss you so much pop. You should have taken better care of yourself. I know you tried to call me the night you died, but you should have dialed 911. I can't stop wondering what it was that you wanted to tell me that night. I wonder what you looked like, where you scared, were you feeling pain? You were too young to have left us now. You didn't get to see the photo's you took from Robert's wedding. Good thing you had a day job because you're not much of a photographer. Carla is going to miss you. You had such a way about you that made her feel so comfortable. She laughs at how you would tease her and pronounce her name. She loves you. She couldn't have had a better father-in-law. Carla wants to name our first son Anetele'a Olive Pua'a. How about that? I love the idea.....I hope you were proud of me Dad. You were always there to lend a hand or just to listen. I hope you felt the same of me. I wish I could have been there to help you the night you died. I'd give anything right now to hold you. We could go to the casino this weekend if you wanted. "Go have some fun" like you'd say. Mom is going to be fine. She has a huge support system and I'll always be there for her. I'll be fine too Dad, I'm your son. You set the example for me of how I should live my life and care for my future family.

God must have really need a great man & truck driver up there because he got one of the best.

Watch over us Pop, and know how much you've touched all of our lives. I can't wait to be with you again.

All my love, "Meathead"

Loretta, Chris, and Jay

I am very sorry I could not make it down there with the rest of the family to pay my respects to Tel. And much respect is what Tel deserves in my book. I know we had only met for a weekend years ago, but Tel, as well as you Loretta and Chris, not only opened your home to me, but also opened your arms to me as well. Tel especially made me feel comfortable in an unfamiliar setting and considered me family from the start. He was a gracious host and a gracious man that will be missed dearly but will also be remembered in my family's prayers. The Lord must have truly needed Tel in Heaven to have taken such a fine example of a good man from earth.

May he rest in peace.

Bro, I attended your services, and what a send off. I met your wonderful brothers and sisters, aunt, and newphews. What a special and warm family. Now I know why you were so great. Bro, I will miss not looking for your truck on the freeways in California.

Lorraine and I will be there for Loretta, Jake, and Chris if they ever need us, however no one can ever take your place.

Rest in peace brother, and may you enjoy the peace and joy with God.

Your brother-in law,

Robin Velasquez
