ANN MARIE CARR Obituary
"Do not hasten to bid us adieu, those who loved you so true." Ann Marie stayed with us for 100 years, passing away March 14, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward P. Carr, Jr. Together, they owned the Carr Mortuary in Tempe. Ann Marie was an Arizona native, being born at St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix, and living her entire life in Tempe. She graduated from Arizona State College. Ann Marie was a proud and active charter member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International, Alpha Kappa Tempe chapter, for 65 years. Ann Marie was a teacher, an artist, a clothes hound, a chocolate lover, but most importantly, a very special friend to so many people throughout her long and well-lived life. At Ann Marie's request, no services will be held.

I did not know Ann Marie but was captured as I read this obituary. My grandparents were also born in the in the Valley in 1908 and 1912. They may have crossed paths over the years. "From this Valley they say you are leaving......." Beautiful!

To the Carr Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
