Annabelle Hayes Obituary
passed away on January 10,2015. Annabelle Marie Hayes, 90, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on January 10, 2015. She was born in Colo, Iowa on January 28, 1924 to Elmer and Hilma Myers. She married Harold Hayes on November 15, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a hardworking and devoted person, committing 32 years to AJ Bayless. Annabelle is survived by her 4 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her sister, all of whom will miss her dearly. Her funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Thursday, January 15, 2015 with a visitation beginning at 10:30 am at Melcher Chapel of the Roses, 43 S Stapley Dr, Mesa AZ, 85204. Graveside services will follow at 1:15 pm at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1562 E Baseline Rd, Mesa AZ, 85204. I will miss Annabelle. I always enjoyed our visits and discussion. She was just so much fun with her stories and recollections told with warmth, humor, kindness, frankness and most of all her trademark sass! I met her 20+ years ago when she lived across the street from the Lopez family and I am so glad that we had been able to stay connected with her, especially over the last couple of years. She is very special to April and I. I know we will both miss her dearly.

I met Annabelle and Harold when I worked for Bobby Lee at Paul Perry's Smorgee/Steak Out, which later became Marshall's USA in Mesa and I enjoyed many intermissions between sets talking with them. I often saw Annabelle at A J Bayless since it was the closest grocery store to where I lived. The last opportunity I had to talk with Annabelle was when she and Jan Draheim came out to see our band one night. It was always great catching up with her.
I'm sorry that I won't be able to attend her funeral services on Thursday, but I wanted to extend my condolences to her family. May God bless each of you and keep you safe.

I will certainly miss the heck out of you! I enjoyed each and every one of our visits. I will especially miss your positive and get on with it attitude. Sending much love and prayers to all those that will be missing this lovely lady. Until we meet again.
