Our sincere condolences to Tony's family.
We first met Tony through the Police Department. He also took very good care of our medical needs.
He was a sincere, dedicated, and truly caring man. We had a great deal of respect for him. He will be missed greatly by many.

I met Tony 35 years ago when my sister brought him as a guest to our home in Iowa for Christmas. They were both first-year students at Good Samaritan Hospital's School of Nursing. Tony was the only male resident in the Sexson Hall dorm, which has since been demolished to make way for the current Good Sam facility. I've had no contact since those years, even though I've lived in the valley for some time now. However, the description I read of Tony was as apt then as now. . . . a caring person who loved making people laugh. My whole family offers it's condolences.

To the Ballew Family,
Our condolences to you during this most difficult time. Tony was a kind and compassionate man whose dedication to his profession was apparent. Tony's work with the Police Department will be missed, as he was available whenever and for whatever was needed. Tony's help with our kids when they were sick was always kindhearted and right on target. We will miss him.

Dear Ballew Family,
My family lived down the street on Roanoke Avenue in 1961 and had the honor or knowing Tony as a young person. I see that the attributes he had as a kid have been appreciated by countless people he has met and treated over the years! You were all blessed to have had him as a relative. He touched so many lives. Peggy Jahntz Driscoll

We would like to extend our condolences to the Ballew family. My husband and I have both worked with Tony. He was a wonderful and caring man, who could make anyone laugh. We attended his service and I was deeply touched by the stories his children shared. I have so many fond memories of Tony that I will treasure always. He will be greatly missed in this community. You are in our thoughts and our prayers. Denny and Michelle Walker

Although it has been a long time since I've seen Tony, he was my brother-in-law for a short time when he, and I, were much younger. I will always remember Tony with fondness. He was always so much fun and so good to my sister's children. I am so sorry to hear about his death, and want to tell his family that they are in my prayers.

I received the best doctoring from Tony, ever. He knew me. He got such a kick out of the time I won a car from Hilton Hotels for being their most frequent stayer back in 1991, and he would kid me about it each and every time I saw him.
His memorial service was one of the most moving experiences I've ever witnessed.

The Hines family send their deepest sympathy to the Bellew Family. I worked with Tony when he worked for a Law Firm, early 80's...and remember the wonderful sense of humor and community he brought with him. Also remember his work in Saude Arabia...Tony will be a bright star missed in the community.

My family and I would like to let the Ballew family know that we thought Tony was one of the best people on earth. He was loved by so many, because of his caring, kindness, generosity and humor. We have known him since his second week working for Dr. Agren. I remember sitting in the office and just watching people go in and come out and the differance in their attitude., always laughing or smiling. We followed him everywhere he went. He was a great medical man. My mom asked him one time why he did not become a doctor, he said he felt he would lose the closeness to his patients and the time he could spend with them. He will be missed by so many people. We Loved him very much.

I met Toney while I was in junior high and going to Dr. Agren. He always made you laugh no matter how rotten you were feeling when you went to see him. I know that his laughter and kindess will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy goes to the Ballew family. I have known Tony since 1999 both professionally and through coaching his daughter, Tamara. She also helped me coach one year after her graduation from Mountain View H.S. I cannot say enough of what a wonderful person Tamara is and she surely reflects the upbringing of her parents. Such a wonderful family and children - a fine tribute to the man Tony was here on this Earth. His mission goes on and I hope and pray that the Ballew family can find peace and comfort in their hearts through this difficult time.
My thoughts and prayers,

I work for Mesa Public Schools, and have gone to Tony for many years. He was such a good man. I loved watching him with all the little hispanic children that came to the office. He was so kind and gentle with them. It was clear to me that he loved those little kids.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was such a good man, and I know he loved his family!

My family and I met Tony when he worked with Dr Agren. He had an uncanny way of making my kids laugh even when they were sick and feeling scared of being at the doctor's office! They adored him and we were very sad to lose track of him when he moved on. I was quite surprised and delighted to see Tony again several times when he came to my employer's office to give flu vaccinations. He was always friendly and just made you feel relaxed and at ease. My heart-felt sympathies go to his family and friends. He was a true gentleman and I know he will be missed greatly.

Though our son, Dane, had the honor of asking Tony for his oldest daughters hand in marriage, he was only honored to know him for a brief time. That brief time was enough for Dane to find a true friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to not only our "Fabulous" daughter-in-law to be, but to her dear family also. We love you, Tamara. Your strength is a blessing to all who know you. Tony was a very rich man to have had you for a daughter. I know he will continue to be proud of you everyday, now as you start your new life and your own family, and thoughout every adventure in your life. He will always be there for you. We never had the privilege of meeting Tony, but we want him to rest assured that he has left Tamara in very loving hands. Our most sincere condolences to the entire Ballew Family.

I am so sorry for the Ballew family. I know Tony will be so greatly missed. I will surely miss him. He brought a lot of healing and laughs to my entire family, and we will miss him so much. I wish I wouldn't have taken him for granted, just being able to walk in and be treated with such great care was a real blessing. I just saw him last week, and I wish I wasn't in a rush. Thank you for everything Tony. You will always be in our hearts!
