Babette Davis Obituary

Davis, Babette Judith
passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 8, 2008. She was born on March 23, 1934 in New York, New York. Her parents were May Flamm and Ralph Count. She graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Theater Arts. She made her home in Scottsdale, AZ since 1965. Babs loved life! She loved her family and friends, loved to give or go to a party or spend an afternoon having a "good shop". She brought happiness to all she met with her vivacious warm personality and her thoughtfulness ( she never forgot a birthday ). In 1979 she met the love of her life, Derek Davis. They married in 1981 and spent the next 27 years traveling the world and having a continued love affair. They gave each other a wonderful life together and were blessed with many friends.. Babette is survived by her husband, Derek Davis, her daughter, Laurie Gilburne and her partner, Crit Harmon of Medford, MA; her son Andrew Gilburne, daughter in law Rusty Gilburne, and her grandchildren Zachary and Cecelia all of West Linn, Oregon; her step-son Adam Davis, Scottsdale, AZ; Her brother Sanford Count and his wife Roz Count of Connecticut; her sister Helen Sher of Scottsdale; and her nieces and nephews Gary Count and wife Risa, Caroline Count and her partner Tom Gump, Michael Tash and his wife Beth. Gifts should be sent to The Arizona Alzheimer's Consortium c/o David Jerman, Admin Director, 901 E. Willetta # 3303, Phoenix AZ  85006.
