Brother Spurlock was, and still is, one of my greatest inspirations as a person, as a member of the church, and as a friend. He taught me so much through the years, and I can't ever recall a time that he was not there with a positive attitude, a smile, and an open ear. I will not soon forget him or any of what he has taught me. My only hope is that I become even half of the man he was in my own lifetime. I miss him and love him like my own father, and my heart and prayers go towards his family always.

I had the privilege of working with Brian for 15 years. His standards of excellence, ethics, morality and humanity are to be aspired to. His leadership was inspirational. His support and friendship irreplaceable.
I am a better person for having known him and will miss him always.
My deepest condolences to Candace and the Spurlock family.

I first met Brian at the interview for my job beginning with Bruckner in 2006. I just remember what an impression he made on me that day. Professional, kind, supportive, knowledgeable and very well spoken. Brian visited the customer site I was located at several times. Everyone that knew him here thought very highly of him. I am honored to have had the opportunity to know and work for Brian. We will all miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this most difficult time.

I am so very struck by the gravity of this loss and can only offer that sorrow and tears were shed by Christ just before raising Lazarus and therefore can not be mistaken for a sign of weakness or lack of faith but a sign of strength and a witness of love. God designed it to hurt but as to why I can not say but if Christ can grieve then so can we all and do so now with you.

Our family's thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Candace, et. al.:

Have only known Brian since December. Met him twice in CT assisting with Bruckner's staffing needs. He was my kind of client...no BS, "here's what we need, can you do it?" I'm sure others also viewed him as a larger than life, get it done fellow. Will certainly miss him.

With deepest sympathy,
David

I knew Brian all through elementary school, junior high and high school until I changed schools. Since I am only 5 ft tall now, he always towered over me so he was like a big goofy teddy bear and I just remember him being so sweet. After reading these posts, I wish I could've known him as an adult. RIP Brian and my condolences to Candace and the kids.

I am in shock right now about the entire ordeal, just know that the Trubia family offers our sincere condolences to Candace and the entire Spurlock family. His untimely death has left a hole in many hearts, ours included. RIP my friend and I hope to live the rest of my life as honorably as you did and we perhaps will meet again.

Michael met Brian in first grade, always a gentle giant. Candace and I met Brian in High School and soon after married our High School loves. Who kew those roughneck, wild boys of TGB would turn into caring dads, loving husbands and great men. Mike and I had the honor of being in your wedding, watching our familes grow and sharing wonderful memories. Mike and I will always cherish the wonderful memories of you.
