When I think of Charlene, I remember a famous quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., An individual has not started living until he/she can rise above the narrow confines of his/her individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
Charlene Nolen, was a fantastic Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a friend. She was dearly loved by her husband Mark, her five children, Vince, Mandy, Anne, Josh and Andrew. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. I could hear the warmth in her voice as she shared her adventures and memories she made when she spent time together Mark and the family.
Although she came from simple beginnings, Charlene worked hard in her life. A loyal wife and dedicated mother. She was successful in her career. Hard work and determination characterized this strong and loving person, as she had a strong foundation and the love for life. Her heart was pure and her loyalty was larger than life itself.
Even with all of her challenges, she faced the World with unparalleled hope and optimism. Her passion for living inspired many people she encountered throughout her life. She gave others hope which was everything.
When she was my Supervisor at DHL she always told the team that her success was because of all the dedication and hard work that we did as a team. She treated us like family. She truly loved us all.
I have never found greatness in another person that can compare to Charlene's.
Charlene was my supervisor, my travel partner, the one who I cried to, the one who held my hand, the one who hugged me and gave me encouragement. She was an angel on Earth and a friend that I will cherish her forever.
Charlene impacted many people. She made a difference. I have so much love in my heart for her that will last for an eternity.

Loved working for you at DHL when you were my boss. You and Anna C'Mere led a team that would have done anything you asked. Often think of the way we all laughed together while pumping out the work. Will miss you and think of you often, knowing that your family has a million happy memories of being with you.
