Dear Keith, Charlie Babbitt is my father. I feel like I've known your parents my whole life for all the stories I've heard.
My dad loved them both, they stayed friends all of their lives. In fact there is a photo of your mother on my parent's fridge as we speak.
Thank you for remembering him. Our mother is still with us and remembers her early life well, I'll be sure to give her your message.
My sincerest thanks and best regards,
Sandy Babbitt Witter

So sorry to see this obituary of Mr. Babbitt. And so much time has passed since his passing. My mother and father were friends with Charlie and Judy. James and Ruth O'Lano Stauring. Mom was in class of '52 with Mr. Babbitt. Dad passed away May 2013 and Mom in July 2018. Now together in heaven, looking down on their families. RIP They are reminiscing and free if pain now.

You are in our hearts and minds. We share in your loss and sadness, and are so sorry. Our parents had a special bond. My mom especially enjoyed having a woman of her age and background to talk to and valued their relationship very much.
My brothers and sister and I lived in Levittown like you. I was the youngest and the only one at 14 to move to South Jersey with my parents. So we have that in common too.

I’m Barbara nee Wagenseller Laureys. I wrote a very long letter that was either too long, got lost or will appear later.
It is late and I fear my typing will become incoherent, but the gist of the letter was....
My mom and I knew your dad was very sick and meant to call. She may have even succeeded but I don’t remember mid Feb at all. I had the idea tonight, lying in pop and her house, to check google. There’s the information I need.
My dad died in June. My mom was heart broken but determined to make the best of it. I got COVID-19 on 2/15 and ended up in the hospital. Mom worried, her blood pressure got higher and higher, her afib acted up and she had a nasty fall on Sunday 2/21 which caused a brain bleed. She was not symptomatic, but the ( Lourdes Hosp) said she was covid +. They never treated her for it. Jeanne heard of her ups and downs, but the hospital would not let her in or communicate. Jeannie did get a good Penn neurologist but not much info after that. I was in another hospital and wish that I could have been there for my sister. My mom passed surprisingly and suddenly away on 3/2/2021. We are broken and heart sick. I am sure you are too. I am very sorry.
Our parents became friends in the last 20 some years of their live though they knew each other early on in Pa.. They came from the same beginnings and shared a great love for family.
My family is so profoundly sad for your family’s loss of your dad. We hoped not to upset Judy any further, but we do want to send our prayers and love. Let her know.
Many letters, gifts, photos, recipes and the like have gone back and forth between Phoenix and South Jersey. We hoped to reach out earlier, but as you know, our world is spinning. Our parents will always have a special bond together.
Much love, the Wagenseller Clan

Mr. Krayer, I am Chuck's daughter. He hasn't smoked for 20 years, and I'd forgotten his habit of tapping his watch with his cigarette. Thank you for giving me that picture of him from way back. And thank.you for rremembering my dad.

Worked with Chuck at Motorola, I can still picture him tapping a Lucky Strike on his watch. We watched the Super Bowl between the Raiders and the Eagles on a 13 inch TV while working weekend coverage. He was not happy being a Philly guy with the drubbing the Eagles took. RIP Chuck.
