The first time I met Dilles, he was in his back with his brother Sterling fixing cabinets in his Sister in Law Lisa’s house. Neither one had any business being on their backs, but the DeWitt boys don’t always do what is convenient or easy. If it needs to be done, “they do it.” I was immediately captivated by his stories and kind heart. Not sure who told the best stories of the DeWitt brothers, but man I loved being in the audience as they were told. Not always 100% factual, but no-one ever cares. Dilles and his family welcomed a City boy (me) into their ranks and I am eternally grateful for it. I loved Dilles DeWitt and admired how he cared for Lisa after his brother Danny’s funeral. He made a great bowl of chili as well as other dishes. I admired his gardening talents. What a great man! I will never forget him. God Bless you and I love you Dilles.
